Privacy and subtitle data
The free subtitle tools process your files in your browser.
Local processing
The free conversion, timing and text tools process subtitle contents and filenames on your device. The local review lab also runs on this device. Opening a file does not submit it for a server model review.
Drafts on this device
The current file, original bytes, saved changes, unfinished text edits and recent undo history are stored in IndexedDB in this browser. If you use the review lab, its settings, terms, background, suggestions and decisions are stored with the draft too. Drafts can remain after you close the page. They are not a cloud backup, and browser cleanup or private browsing may remove them.
Clearing your work
Use Clear draft to remove the working copy from this browser. Your original file and files you have downloaded are unaffected. Shared devices can expose locally saved drafts to other people using the same browser profile.
Site requests
Your browser requests application pages, code, fonts and the sample file from the site. Fonts are hosted with the app. This release has no analytics or session replay. Hosting may process ordinary request metadata such as an IP address; subtitle contents and filenames are not included.
Free tools and optional services
The free conversion, timing and text tools do not submit subtitle contents to cloud storage or model providers. The separate private review workflow has explicit upload and retention information before submission. Clearing a local draft does not delete a previously submitted private job.
Optional private model review
The invite-only model review requires configured services, a model and an approved budget before new model calls can run. Submitting a job explicitly uploads the saved subtitle snapshot, filename and review settings to private application storage. Necessary text and context are sent to the model provider. Completed results are recoverable for 7 days, with early deletion available. Access stops on deletion or expiry; physical object cleanup retries in the background. Provider and backup retention are separate. Accept/reject decisions and later edits remain in your local draft.
